Free Football - Live P2P Streaming

P2P Streaming Video P2P streaming technology allows football games from channels all around the world to be watched on a computer screen for free. P2P means peer-to-peer which is a very clever type of networking that allows the entire network to 'share the burden' rather than one single server that serves the whole network on its' own. P2P streaming networks are made up from multiple computers, or nodes, that each send out small sections of data to multiple other nodes. The structure of a P2P stream is a bit like a tree: The first node sends a video stream to two or more other nodes. These two nodes may then send that same stream out to two other nodes each, then those nodes may send out to eight or more nodes, and so on. With the potential to double the amount of nodes each time, P2P streaming can serve an almost unlimited audience. Watching P2P Streams To watch free football streams on a computer using P2P, a client (software) must be downloaded. There have been many protocols devised and developed over the years, some of the most popular being: PPMate, SopCast, TVAnts, TVU and UUSee. These clients are freely available on the web to download. After installing the necessary software it is then possible to stream the various protocols used in P2P sharing. Simply find a website with daily updated free football games, find a game to watch, choose a stream protocol (such as SopCast, TVAnts, etc.) and click. Providing the software is installed and set up properly the channel should begin showing. There may be a delay of a few minutes until the stream has buffered. The list of games will usually have multiple streams of multiple channels of the same game. This is a precaution if some do not work. Some streams can be very temperamental and look very choppy. The worst scenario is if an individual P2P network is so erratic that some of the game or even a goal is missed. Try the different protocol links until a steady stream is found to ensure a good quality viewing. Using P2P streaming technology can be fiddly and time consuming but it is free after all!
