iPod Recycling By Richard Cauldron Portable music players have been around since the days of the Walkman cassette tape player. Today many people listen to music on their iPod as well as carrying their entire collection wherever they go. The trouble is, as music collections grow and newer devices hit the market, music lovers want the latest iPod model with more memory, better looks and slicker features. So what can be done with all these old iPods? Well it turns out there are some web based iPod recycling companies that will pay cash for an old iPod. Even if the device is faulty or broken it could still fetch up to 90% of the price of a working device of the same type. Working models are usually reconditioned while non-working models will be broken down into its components and recycled in an environmentally friendly way. Instead of leaving an old iPod to rot away, unloved in a drawer, forgotten about, why not dispose of it correctly, have it recycled and receive a cheque with your name on.
